Bastos of Canada Ltd traces its origins to a bold French initiative. The company was founded by SEITA (Société d’Exploitation Industrielle des Tabacs et des Allumettes), which chose to establish a manufacturing facility in Louiseville, Quebec. This location was initially intended to produce the French brands Gitanes and Gauloises for the North American market.
Over the decades, Bastos has evolved to meet the realities of the Quebec and Canadian markets while preserving its manufacturing expertise and quality standards.
